The Hazel Park Community Coalition (HPCC) is a community coalition dedicated to creating a healthier, safer future for Hazel Park youth and families.
Our mission is to lead and facilitate data-driven, community-based initiatives that empower Hazel Park youth and families to choose a chemical-free lifestyle, resulting in a reduction in youth substance use.
We believe prevention is most effective when schools, families, community organizations, businesses, healthcare providers, law enforcement, faith leaders, and residents work together toward a common goal. By using local data to identify community needs and evidence-based strategies to address them, HPCC develops programs and partnerships that build resilience, strengthen protective factors, and create opportunities for youth to thrive.
Whether you're a parent looking for resources, a student seeking opportunities, a volunteer ready to make a difference, or an organization interested in partnering with us, we're glad you're here. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier Hazel Park—one connection, one program, and one young person at a time.

No. The Hazel Park Community Coalition (HPCC) is an independent, community-based coalition that serves the entire Hazel Park community. While Hazel Park Schools serves as HPCC's fiscal agent and an important strategic partner, the coalition is not a department or program of the school district.
HPCC brings together representatives from schools, healthcare, law enforcement, local government, businesses, faith communities, youth-serving organizations, parents, youth, and community members to address youth substance use and promote healthy development. By working collaboratively across these sectors, we are able to create community-wide solutions that extend beyond the classroom and support young people wherever they live, learn, work, and play.
