General Guidelines
Failure to adhere to the uniform policy will result in grade 5th through 8th receiving a calendar mark until changes are made and notes home for grades K-4th. We ask for parents’ guidance and support with our uniform policy.
White golf shirts are no longer an option.
● All students must wear regulation HFS shoes, unless it is their physical education day.
● Hair should be neat, clean, and out of the eyes. Boys’ hair should not be below the nape of the
neck.
● No shaved designs or dyed hair is permitted.
● No makeup or nail polish may be worn.
● Girls’ uniforms should not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
● Small earrings and crosses or crucifixes may be worn. No dangling earrings or hoops and no
bracelets may be worn.
● CYO apparel may be worn back and forth from school; however, it is not part of the HFS uniform
and may not be worn during the school day. There is a regulation HFS jacket that may be worn
during the school day.
● Smartwatches are permitted but must be set in school mode or turned into the homeroom
teacher upon arrival.
Boys’ Uniform Fall/Spring (September – October 31 st ) and (April 1 st – June)
All boys: Regulation khaki shorts,maroon Holy Family polo shirt (long or short sleeve), white or black socks.
Belt is required for grades 4th and up
Optional: Khaki pants, HFS regulation jacket.
Winter (November 1 st – March 31 st )
Boys grades K-4: Regulation khaki pants, maroon Holy Family polo shirt (long or short sleeve), white or black socks
Optional: HFS regulation jacket
Boys grades 5-8: Regulation khaki pants, belt, white buttoned down collar shirt (long or short sleeve) with a maroon Holy Family sweater vest, HFS regulation tie, white or black socks
Optional: HFS regulation jacket
Girls’ Uniform **Please note that girls’ uniforms should not be shorter than 2 inches above the knee! If a student’s skirt is too short, a skirt will be provided from the Uniform Exchange.**
Fall/Spring (September – October 31 st ) and (April 1 st - June)
All girls: Plaid jumper (K-3) or kilt (4-8), maroon Holy Family polo shirt (long or short sleeve), white or maroon socks
Optional: Girls in grades K-3 may wear the plaid jumper with a white peter-pan collar blouse
Optional: Khaki shorts or pants, HFS regulation jacket
Winter (November 1 st – March 31 st ) Girls grades K-4: Plaid jumper (K-3) or kilt (4-8), maroon Holy Family polo shirt (long or short sleeve), maroon knee socks or maroon tights
Optional: Khaki pants with maroon Holy Family polo shirt (long or short sleeve), HFS regulation jacket
Girls grades 5 – 8: Plaid kilt, white buttoned down collar shirt (long or short sleeve) with maroon Holy Family sweater vest, maroon knee socks or maroon tights
Optional: Khaki pants with white buttoned down collar shirt (long or short sleeve), V-neck pullover sweater, HFS regulation jacket
Footwear Students must wear regulation shoes that can be purchased at Flocco’s or Flynn O’Hara. In addition to the tie shoes we traditionally offer, parents may choose a Stride Rite Velcro shoe for young girls or a boy/girl slip-on from Merrell, both of which can be found on the Flocco’s website. Sneakers are NOT an option.
Physical Education Uniform

Gym t-shirts are available for sale as an option. CYO apparel is not a part of the school uniform.
