First Steps

To get started make sure you create a Goapplytexas profile for all in-state applications. You must create a profile with your biographical info before you can start submitting apps

Financial aid is very important. You must submit your FAFSA/TASFA before Jan 15th in order to receive the max amount of aid. Get in touch with Mr. Diaz for FAFSA completion or Ms. Reyes and Ms. Palmer for TASFA help

Essays may be required for some colleges. You can always send your drafts to Ms. Sabrina or Ms. Soria before submitting if you want help. An essay boosts an application's potential so we strongly encourage you write an essay. 

Transcripts and fee waivers can be picked up at the College and Career Center in room 201. Make sure to only send your transcript AFTER you have submitted your application.

SAT scores may be required by some colleges and university. Make sure to see if the test scores are optional and decide if they would boost or dampen your applications if sent. The powerpoint above has that info as well.

Always be applying to scholarships. Many are posted here and on the google classroom. Make sure to apply to SAEP and be doing independent research on relevant scholarships
