As part of this transition, all faculty members have been provided with laptops and Zoom licenses to ensure smooth and uninterrupted usage of the platform. This initiative will enable faculty to schedule and manage meetings, lectures, and academic events without any limitations, leveraging Zoom Workspace's robust features for seamless collaboration.
The new system not only simplifies booking lecture halls and meeting rooms but also integrates advanced scheduling tools and video conferencing capabilities, allowing for greater flexibility and efficiency in managing academic activities.

Gulf Medical University (GMU) has launched a new classroom booking system to streamline the process of reserving classrooms for teaching and other activities. The system is accessible to all GMU students, faculty, and staff and allows users to view a real-time availability calendar and book classrooms for specific time slots.
The new system is designed to improve efficiency and transparency in the classroom booking process. It also eliminates the need for students and faculty to physically go to the Student Affairs Office to book classrooms.
The new system is available 24/7 and can be accessed from any computer or mobile device. To book a classroom, users simply need to create an account and select the desired classroom and time slot.
The system also allows users to view the availability of classrooms for upcoming weeks and months. This information can be helpful for students and faculty who are planning events or activities that require the use of classrooms.
The new classroom booking system is a welcome addition to GMU. It is a convenient and efficient way to reserve classrooms, and it will help to improve the overall student experience.
The faculty training program on Learning Management system was conducted on 19th, 20th and 21st of October 2022 for College of Medicine. The program was designed to help the faculty members to learn about the use of Learning Management system and its potential benefits. The program was conducted by the experts from the E-Learning Center and was very informative. The faculty members who attended the program found it very useful and beneficial.
On October 17, 2022, a Orienation on Educational Technology Resources was held exclusively for newly hired faculty members. This orientation's main goal is to give new faculty members an overview of the various educational technology resources that are available to them. This will help new faculty members become more informed about the various options for using technology to support their teaching.
On June 3, 2022, a faculty development session was held for new academics from the colleges of healthcare management and economics who had newly joined in GMU. the topic was LMS Gradebook.
In continuous efforts to enhance the teaching experience, E-Learning center and Epson is jointly organized an Faculty Development program on Epson Interactive Projector, on 9th February 2022 as two sessions, The first session was conducted at 3:30 to 4:00 PM and the second session was from 4:00 to 4:30 PM, 50+ Faculties were participated the event,
TUH Nursing Department has conducted a ICU online course in GMU studio, on 7th and 8th February 2022 respectively with the help of E-Learning Support Team. More than 118 medical professionals from deferent organizations ( Including Ministries )was attended.

We are sorry to inform you that the recording feature in Google Meet has been terminated by Google, All Google Meet Users will lose access to the recording feature. The rollout has been started in January, will take 2–3 weeks to complete, so some customers might still be able to record meetings during early February 2022. Any previously recorded meetings will remain in Google Drive until they’re deleted by the file owner.
