Hello 3rd Grade Families!! I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year. We have a very busy year ahead of us. I can't wait to get back to school and see all of you this fall. As we start a new school year, I would like to tell you a little about me.
My name is Mrs. Johnson, parents please feel free to call me Nikki. I was born and raised in Grand Forks where I attended Holy Family Elementary School, Schroeder Junior High (yes, it was that long ago), and Red River High School. I graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2010 with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. My husband, Travis, and I love living in Grand Forks. It has been wonderful being able to raise our four boys here. We are excited to take on a new journey in our lives as we enjoy being empty nesters. In my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to music, watching sporting events, golfing, going to the lake and spending time with my family and friends.
This is my eighth year teaching at Viking Elementary School and I am very happy to be a part of such a wonderful school. Third Grade has been an incredible new journey for me as I start my second year at this grade level. I love teaching 3rd Grade and can't wait to take in the lively adventures this year will bring us. I am eager to have the opportunity to work with your child and want to ensure that they each have wonderful learning experiences at Viking.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the school year. Parent involvement is an important part of your child’s education. Together we can make this a great year of learning! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you have throughout the school year.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of guiding your child through part of their educational journey.
