The VEX Robotics club is where students apply STEM related learning in a competitive environment while having fun.
Members learn teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Science, technology, engineering, math concepts and skills come together in order to build the best robot possible.
🕑VEX Robotics Club meetings begin in September, meeting twice a week after school (~3PM) on both Monday and Tuesday for about an hour. Special build sessions may occur with prior notice.
🤖 Discover the thrill of designing, building, and competing with your very own robots! Whether you're a seasoned engineer or just curious about robotics, there's a place for you in our club.

🏆 Compete in thrilling VEX Robotics competitions
💻We start the season by reviewing the new game rules and developing design strategies so that we can design the best robot possible.
🔁We imagine, construct, modify, upgrade, and refine our robots throughout the season.
👩💻We also learn how to write programming code to control the robots for the autonomous period of the event.
There are two types of VEX Robotic competitions which the GFC Robotics teams participated in previous years.
🏆Grand Forks Central VEX Robotics team hosted a Vex Robotics League which met on Thursdays after school for 5 weeks. Teams included GFC, Red River, East Grand Forks, Twining, South Middle Schools and an independent team. There were 17 teams that participated overall.
🏆The other competition format is VEX Robotics Tournament sanctioned events. GFC VEX Robotics club participated in the VEX Robotics tournament format five times including the North Dakota State Vex Tournament hosted at Red River High School.
