My name is Evelin Hernandez and this is my 12th year teaching at Acacia. I have a passion for learning and consider myself a lifelong learner. I love teaching and getting the opportunity to see the growth in your children is the biggest highlight of my job. My classroom is my second home and I take pride in creating an inviting and engaging environment that welcomes my students to be risk-takers.

    I am a first-generation Mexican-American and am very proud of my heritage. I also am bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish. I was born and raised in La Habra and currently live in Brea with my husband and two kids. Isabella will be a Freshman at Fullerton College. Benjamin will be a 6th-grade Acacia panda. We have  TWO dogs. A fawn pug named Mabel and a black pug named Dipper. When I'm not in the classroom or working on things from home, I love spending time with my family. We enjoy being outside often going for walks, going to the dog park, movie nights, and exploring new places. My favorite place is the beach! I am a HUGE Disney fan! Love going to Disneyland, love watching musicals, and reading when I get some downtime.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, organizing, going on long walks while listening to podcasts, running,  cooking new healthy recipes, date nights with the mister, and trying new restaurants and breweries.
