PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
While CTE isn't a defined program. It provides students with opportunities to explore career paths and learn about the education and preparation for a variety of careers. Through partnerships through ROP and other organizations and businesses, students not only learn about careers, but get hands-on experiences.
While there are some opportunities for elementary students, CTE is primarily geared toward junior high students. FSD is one of the few districts that provides CTE opportunities to junior high students. This is significant because California students have demonstrated a lack of college and career readiness.
By the end of eighth grade, students should be able to demonstrate a grade appropriate proficiency in CTE career readiness standards.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
"Fullerton School District is proud to offer the Multi-Age Program as a district and state approved Alternative Program of Choice. We are one of five districts in California offering this unique and innovative classroom learning environment. Multi-Age classrooms contain a mixed-age group of children who stay with the same teacher for several years. The children, teacher, and parents value our classroom as a learning community and believe that children benefit from a variety of family mentors and peer relationships. Our Multi-Age classrooms are designed to give every child the opportunity to find success and enhance their learning through facilitating a project-based learning choice and individualized instruction. Students become self-motivated learners, taking initiative for their own learning as they progress along a continuum of simple to more complex material, with an emphasis on mastery of California State Standards.
Fullerton School District’s Multi-Age Program has been in existence for well over 30 years. Currently there are eight such classrooms in the district. The MultiAge Classrooms can be found at Rolling Hills Elementary School and Orangethorpe Elementary School.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Students in 4th through 8th grades compete in local, state, and national competitions in a variety of events. While competitions are currently virtual, they are typically in-person and require a great deal of preparation on the students' parts. While participating schools have teacher-coaches, we also have walk on coaches with a great deal of knowledge and experience who work with our students weekly.
There are currently 16 schools with speech and debate teams. Nearly three hundred students participated in the last tournament.
Students who participate in speech and debate improve oral communication skills, build confidence and self-discipline, learn teamwork and commitment, and improve their time management, organization, and memorization skills. Overall, students who participate in speech and debate typically become better students.
