How often do I need to change my filters?

For 70% of our customers, filter changes occur once a year. About 30% of our customers need two or more filter changes/year. The number of filters you’ll go through will depend on factors like the quality of your source water and/or water consumption at your location.

Filters are required to be changed at least once annually according to the manufacture's specifications to ensure the filters are operating to their highest potential.

How do I know if I have source water that may require more frequent filter changes?

Source water varies widely from country to country and can even vary within the same city. It is recommended to get a water report where you will be installing your FloWater Refill Station so you can better understand what the source water contains. For example, New York City has areas with high rust and sediment in the water. In areas of the UK, there is more limescale present in the water. Based on this information FloWater may be able to help you determine any pre-treatments such as a pre-filter, water softener, or limescale inhibitor as necessary. This typically only applies when source water has a high concentration of minerals or particulates.
