Important Rules & Regulations

All competitors must register with MUDA to participate in any MUDA Ranking Event. Only registered competitors are eligible for MUDA Ranking Points and Awards.

MUDA reserves the right to amend rules and regulations with prior notice.

Once the results are finalized, no further negotiations with the organizers will be entertained.

Only MUDA Competitor Members who have competed in a minimum of three (3) MUDA Ranking Events will be eligible.

MUDA Ranking Title Winners must attend the MUDA Finale Championship to receive their prize money and trophy.

所有参赛者必须注册成为 MUDA Competitors Membership，才能参加任何 MUDA 积分排名项目。只有注册选手才有资格获得 MUDA 排名积分和奖励。

MUDA 有权在提前通知的情况下更改规则与规定。

一旦结果确定，将不再接受与主办方的任何协商。
只有至少参加过三（3）场 MUDA 排名赛事的 MUDA 竞技会员，才具备领取资格。

衔获奖者必须出席 MUDA Grand Final Award 2026，才能领取奖金和奖杯。

MUDA RANKING AWARD ELIGIBILITY REGULATION

MUDA 排名奖项资格规则

One-Category-Only Rule (Open X Beginner/Medallist)

5.1 Purpose
This regulation ensures fairness and consistency in MUDA’s ranking system by preventing participants from competing across different category levels within the same discipline and age group.

5.2 Definitions

“Beginner/Medallist Categories” refer to MUDA Beginner, Medallist, and Medallist Elite categories (including U12).
“Open Categories” refer to any category labelled Open / Open Elite / World Open / International Open, or any category recognised as a higher competitive level.

5.3 Core Rule: One Category Level Only

A participant may compete in only ONE category level within the same discipline and age group under MUDA Ranking Events and MUDA’s ranking system. Competing in multiple levels is strictly prohibited.

5.4 Mutual Prohibition

Any participant who enters or competes in an Open Category within the same discipline shall not be permitted to enter or compete in any Beginner/Medallist Category (including Medallist Elite) for that same discipline and age group.
Vice versa, any participant who enters or competes in a Beginner/Medallist Category within the same discipline shall not be permitted to enter or compete in any Open Category for that same discipline and age group.

5.5 Ranking Season Application

MUDA shall define and publish the ranking season each year.
If a participant is found to have competed across more than one category level (Open and Beginner/Medallist) within the same discipline during the ranking season, the participant shall be deemed in breach of this regulation and enforcement shall apply under Clause 5.6.

5.6 Enforcement and Consequences

Where a violation is confirmed (including dual entry, incorrect registration, or organiser failure to prevent entry):

The participant shall be disqualified from ranking points and ranking award eligibility for the affected discipline and age group for the full year season, and awards shall be reallocated to the next eligible participant.
Any trophy/certificate/prize money already issued may be revoked, and MUDA may require its return.
Where organiser negligence or failure to verify is established, the organiser shall bear full responsibility for the non-compliant entries and MUDA may impose appropriate actions under MUDA rules.

5.7 Mandatory Organiser Verification

All coaches, parents & participants must verify, before confirming entries, that:

the participant holds a valid MUDA membership (where required);
the participant is registered in the correct discipline, age group, and category level; and
the participant is not registered in more than one category level within the same discipline.

5.8 MUDA Solo Elite Medallist Under 12 Title Ranking Progression Rule

The competitor ranked No.1 (Rank 1) in the MUDA Solo Elite Medallist Under 12 ranking for the year will be automatically upgraded to compete in the Solo Open category. Therefore, the Rank 1 competitor will no longer be eligible to participate in the MUDA Solo Elite Medallist Under 12 ranking in the following year.

This policy is implemented to establish a clearer and fair competitive progression pathway, encouraging top-performing dancers to advance to the Solo Open category, while creating more opportunities for other competitors to progress within the MUDA competition structure.

MUDA sincerely appreciates the continued support of all competitors and coaches and looks forward to witnessing greater achievements in future competitions.

单一组别参赛规则（Open ⇄ Beginner/Medallist）

5.1 目的

本规则旨在确保 MUDA 排名制度的公平性与一致性，防止参赛者在参赛项目中跨不同等级组别参赛。

5.2 定义

“Beginner/Medallist 组别”：指 MUDA Beginner、Medallist 与 Medallist Elite 等组别（包括 U12）。
“Open 组别”：指任何标示为 Open / Open Elite / World Open / International Open 的组别，或任何被认可为更高等级的组别。

5.3 核心规则：仅限参加一个等级组别

在 MUDA 排名赛事及 MUDA 排名制度下，参赛者在参赛项目中，仅允许参加一个等级组别。严禁同时参加多个等级组别。

5.4 双向禁止

任何参赛者如在参赛项目中报名或参赛 Open 组别，则不得再报名或参赛 Beginner/Medallist 组别（包括 Medallist Elite）。
反之亦然，任何参赛者报名或参赛 Beginner/Medallist 组别，则不得再报名或参赛 Open 组别。

5.5 排名赛季适用

MUDA 将公布排名赛季（Ranking Season）。
如参赛者在排名赛季期间，被发现参赛跨超过一个等级组别参赛（Open 与 Beginner/Medallist 同时参与），则视为违反本规则，并将依据第 5.6 条执行处理。

5.6 执行与后果

若确认存在违规情况（包括但不限于：重复报名/跨组别参赛、错误报名、或主办方未能阻止违规报名）：

该参赛者将被取消相关舞种与年龄组在该年赛季的排名积分与排名奖项资格，奖项将顺延给下一位符合资格的参赛者。
如奖杯/证书/奖金已发放，MUDA 有权撤销并要求归还。
如证实主办方存在疏忽或未履行核查责任，违规报名的全部责任由相关主办方承担，MUDA 可依据相关规则采取适当处理措施。

5.7 强制核查责任（教练、家长与参赛者）

所有教练、家长及参赛者在确认报名之前，必须核实以下事项：

参赛者具备有效的 MUDA 会员资格（如有要求）；
参赛者已报名至正确的舞种、年龄组及组别等级；以及
参赛者未在同一舞种（及同一年龄组）中报名超过一个等级组别。

5.8 MUDA Solo Elite Medallist Under 12 组别晋级规则

年度 MUDA Solo Elite Medallist Under 12 排名第一（Rank 1）的选手，将被自动晋级至 Solo Open 组别参赛。因此，获得 Rank 1 的选手在下一年度将不再被允许参加 MUDA Solo Elite Medallist Under 12 组别的排名赛事。

此制度旨在建立更清晰及公平的竞技发展阶梯，鼓励优秀选手向更高水平的 Solo Open 组别挑战，同时为其他选手创造更多晋升与竞争的机会。

MUDA 感谢所有选手及教练一直以来对赛事发展的支持，并期待在未来赛事中见证更多精彩表现。

In order to establish a fair and transparent ranking system for our members in the year 2026, we have implemented a comprehensive points system. This system aims to reward active participation, membership commitment, and competitive success. Below is an explanation of how members can earn points in this system:

1. Subscribe to Competitor Membership for the Year 2026:

To be eligible for ranking points, members must subscribe to the competitor membership for the year 2026. This ensures that only active and committed members are considered in the ranking. The subscription period starts from the date of payment confirmation and ends on December 31, 2026. Memberships are activated upon confirmation of payment and remain valid until December 31 of the subscription year. To accrue ranking points, the subscription must be active at the time of participation in each event. Points towards the ranking system will only be counted for events occurring after the activation of the member's 2026 subscription. Activities or achievements prior to the start of the subscription will not be considered for ranking. Non-compliance with event rules may result in disqualification and exclusion from the ranking points for that event.

2. Participate in MUDA Competitions :

Members can earn points by actively participating in MUDA competitions. MUDA competitions serves as a platform for members to showcase their skills and compete in various events.

3. Points for Final Placements:

Points will be awarded based on the final placements of members in the events they participate in. The points distribution is as follows FOR ELIMINATION ROUND EVENTS:

Placing 1st : 1.1 point

Placing 2nd : 1.0 points

Placing 3rd : 0.9 points

Placing 4th : 0.8 points

Placing 5th : 0.7 points

Placing 6th : 0.6 points

Placing 7th : 0.5 points

Placing 8th : 0.4 points

Placing 9th : 0.3 points

Points will be awarded based on the final placements of members in the events they participate in. The points distribution is as follows FOR RANK NEW EVENTS:

Placing 1st : 0.9 point

Placing 2nd : 0.8 points

Placing 3rd : 0.7 points

Placing 4th : 0.6 points

Placing 5th : 0.5 points

These points are designed to incentivize members to strive for higher positions in each event they partake in. The higher the placement, the more points a member will accumulate.

This system encourages consistent participation and success, ensuring that members who perform well across multiple events are duly rewarded. By combining membership commitment and competition results, the ranking points system aims to create a dynamic and competitive environment for all participants in the year 2026.
