CSUSM IEP (Intensive English Pathway) is a Saturday course designed to help students strengthen their English skills in a structured and supportive environment. This 4-hour class takes place every Saturday and is divided into three parts:

🕐 Hour 1 – Led by Jennifer Lim
The session begins with a review of the previous lesson and a preview of what’s to come. Interactive games, vocabulary-building activities, and guided discussions are used to prepare students and boost their confidence.

🕑 Hours 2–3 – Led by an American Teacher
In this core instruction block, students engage in a deeper learning experience with a native English-speaking teacher. Jennifer provides support during the session to assist students who may have difficulty following along.

🕓 Hour 4 – Led by Jennifer Lim
The final hour focuses on homework assistance and a 1-minute speaking challenge where students reflect on the day’s topic. This helps reinforce learning and build speaking fluency.

📚 The course covers a variety of real-world and academic topics, including governance, leadership, small talk, entrepreneurship, and more—ensuring students are not only improving their language skills but also expanding their global awareness.

From playing games, dancing, and singing during break time to sharing cultural experiences like celebrating Christmas together, we create a fun, supportive space where learning goes beyond the classroom.
