Hi, I’m Mae! I believe that learning English should be as fun as it is rewarding. Join me as we explore language in a way that feels natural, engaging, and, of course, A-mae-zing!
Hi! I'm Maelyn Villano, a passionate educator from Cavite, Philippines, currently working as a Foreign English Teacher (FET) in Taiwan.
My journey in education began in 2016, when I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Secondary Education. In the same year, I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and became a licensed professional teacher.
Driven by my love for teaching young learners, I furthered my studies by completing 30 units in the Bachelor of Elementary Education program, specializing in Early Childhood Education. I also earned professional certifications in TESOL, TEFL, and TEYL, allowing me to strengthen my skills in teaching English to children and international learners.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach students of different ages and backgrounds. I spent three years teaching at a private school in the Philippines, where I taught various subjects—including English—to students from preschool to senior high school. I also worked as a private tutor for children aged 4 to 8, helping them build confidence and develop a love for learning.
Since 2019, I have been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to students from around the world. Along the way, I have completed more than 120 hours of certified ESL professional training, continually improving my teaching strategies and creating engaging, student-centered lessons.
Today, as a Foreign English Teacher in Taiwan, I enjoy designing interactive lessons, organizing school-wide English activities, and creating fun learning experiences that inspire students to use English with confidence.
I believe that every child learns differently, and my goal is to make learning meaningful, enjoyable, and memorable. Whether through games, stories, songs, or hands-on activities, I strive to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to participate, explore, and grow.
Outside the classroom, I love creating educational resources, developing interactive classroom games, and finding new ways to make English learning exciting and accessible for young learners.
Teaching isn't just my career—it's my passion, and working with children is truly where my heart belongs. 💛
