How do I sign up to audition?

What should I prepare for my audition?

Prepare 32 bars ( about 1 minute) of a song that showcases your vocal range and acting ability. Please do not sing a song from The Lion King. Please select an age appropriate children’s musical theater song. Bring your accompaniment track (instrumental only), YouTube is fine. Memorization is strongly encouraged.

What dates and times will students meet for rehearsals? 

To be selected for our show, students must audition and be invited to be part of the cast. If your child is selected to be in the cast for The Lion King Jr. we will meet every Monday after-school until 3:40pm. 

Rehearsal Dates 

Mondays after-school until 3:40pm, if we should ever cancel club we will communicate those changes.

Saturday Rehearsals: March 6th & 13th

April 5th- 8th TECH WEEK MANDATORY EVENING REHEARSALS 6pm-8pm

If you know your child will miss any rehearsals, please consider that the cast has a limited amount of rehearsal time. Please communicate any conflicts on your permission slip form at the time of auditions. Example. "Out of town on March 6th"

It is imperative that students who audition are aware of the responsibility of being in a show and report to every rehearsal ready to practice. Please consider student involvement in other activities ex. sports teams, dance competitions, homework load and tutoring before auditioning. 

How will I know if my child is in the show?

We will email you before October 1st. 

Is there a participation fee?

There is not a participation fee. However, we ask that families provide their own costumes. If you should require assistance in finding costumes, we will support you as much as possible.
