Basketball Club

Students will learn foundational basketball skills, compete against one another, and explore how the core content Mathematics is embedded in the game of basketball. They will learn the measurements of the basketball court, the lines, sections, and equipment used. They will also be introduced to how critical thinking is used in the game of basketball. Being able to counteract your opponent is key in the game. Students will use real-life game situations to think critically about the best course of action to take next. They will use probability during this time as well in order to find the likelihood of achieving certain goals on the court under specific time constraints.
