A little bit about me:
This is my third year as a full-time teacher, and I’m excited to join the College Prep Middle School community!
I was born and raised in Southern California, but I recently moved to the San Diego area. I look forward to getting to know the area, meeting my students and their families, and having a wonderful school year!
Before coming to College Prep, I worked at El Roble Intermediate School in Claremont, California, where I served as an AVID tutor (2017-2022), student teacher, substitute teacher, and, most recently, taught 8th-grade English for the past two school years.
My educational background includes an Associate’s degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Mount San Antonio College and a Bachelor’s degree in English Education from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. I continued my studies at the University of La Verne, where I earned my Single Subject Teaching Credential in English and recently completed my Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching and Learning. This education has only furthered my passion for creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy coffee, traveling, hot yoga, live music, hanging out by the beach, reading mystery novels (Frieda McFadden is my favorite!), and spending a lot of time with my dog, Bam.
I look forward to an amazing 2026-2027 School year! 😊
