About Me...

My name is Mrs. Emily (Jevens) Bauer and it is my honor and privilege to introduce myself as your Language Arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year!

This is my tenth year as an educator and my fifth year teaching at CPMS. I graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies (Humanities) and a Multiple Subjects Credential, both from Sonoma State University. After graduating, I got started right away in San Luis Obispo teaching third grade, fourth grade and ESL in grades K-6. Then, my husband, Cameron, and I decided to relocate to San Diego in the summer of 2021, where I taught sixth grade in central Chula Vista. In 2024, I acquired a Single Subject Credential in English. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Chula Vista, I decided to seek out a position in a middle school environment, and I was so fortunate to be welcomed into the College Preparatory community.
