I'm so glad you're here, and I'm even more glad to be here! This page has everything you need for our 7th grade ELA class.

How we treat each other...

Our full classroom norms will be created together during the first week of school — your words, handwriting, and chart. But here are the things that are non-negotiable from day one:

• We use language that dignifies everyone in this room. No exceptions.

• We disagree with ideas, not with people.

• We listen when others are speaking - not to respond, but to understand.

• We do not perform for each other at the expense of our learning.

You WILL make mistakes in here, in your writing, in your thinking, in how you talk to each other. So will I. What matters is what we do next. This classroom runs on growth and effort, not perfection.
