Hello Tiger families! My name is Mr. Valoria, and I am so excited to be your student's 5th grade social science teacher this year. Social science is my favorite subject, and one that I have so much fun talking about and teaching! It is such a privilege to teach our students about where we come from and how we are all connected to one another through such unique, vibrant, and shared histories. In my classroom, students will be challenged and encouraged to think critically and thoughtfully about the amazing world around us, and develop as global citizens. Through our learning of American civics and history, I strive for our students to emerge more conscious and passionate about their neighbors, communities, and world, along with growing skills and literacy that will help them navigate through their lives. I am eager to share my love of social science, to learn together, and to build a safe and fun learning community. Go Tigers!
