Foundational-Level Math Add on Credential

Program Description 

The Foundational-Level Mathematics Educator Program at Channel Islands University will prepare teachers to earn a Foundational-Level Mathematics Credential. This program will provide a free secondary mathematics teaching methods course, free online CSET test preparation, and CSET test exam vouchers for CSET I and CSET II.

The 6 weeks of 100% online coursework will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 - 7:30pm.

The Foundational-Level Mathematics Credential authorizes teaching general mathematics up to 9th grade. For teachers who are interested in teaching beyond 9th grade, passing CSET III is required.

Fresno State’s Mathematics and Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI), with support from the San Joaquin Valley Mathematics Project, is pleased to announce the availability of FREE online mathematics and science CSET courses and workshops for 2023-24. Courses/workshops are open to everyone.

Funding: 

The cost of this program is $1200 which covers the Methods Course and includes free online CSET prep courses. Partial scholarships of up to $600 are available through the MSTI Grant. More information will be available upon applying.
