Concerned Resource and Environmental Workers
Founded in 1991, the CREW’S mission is “to give young people employment and develop lifelong skills through environmental work that restores natural land and protects communities against wildfire.” The CREW is the realization of a long standing dream to bring career experience, development and leadership to Ojai Youth. Challenging work on backcountry trails, on habitat restoration and fuel reduction/fire prevention projects produces healthy, bio diverse and resilient lands for all to enjoy. The CREW has paved the way for countless youths to pursue careers in forestry, environmental science, and fire science.
Green Valley Project is a youth-led initiative of The C.R.E.W., in collaboration with local environmental organizations and experts. Through community engagement and environmental restoration projects we are bringing about a more beautiful, healthy and climate-resilient Ojai Valley watershed where all can thrive.
