Before You Begin

W-2s, 1099-NEC, 1099-K, and all other tax-related documents
Bank statements or payment-app summaries (Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, Stripe, Square, etc.)
Income logs, invoices, bookkeeping reports, or sales summaries
Receipts for business expenses (supplies, advertising, software, travel, meals, etc.)
Mileage log and vehicle expense records (if claiming mileage or auto deductions)
Home office documents such as utility bills, internet statements, or rent totals (if claiming a home office)

Your prior-year tax return, including Schedule C if self-employed
