My name is Mr. Berkowitz and I grew up off Cape in Sudbury, Massachusetts. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst I taught English and studied Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan and China. Upon returning to the United States, I chose to persue a career in education and graduated from Lesley University in 2013 with a Masters in Elementary Education and Creative Arts in Learning.

In 2013, my wife and I decided to move somewhere warm that needed teachers and nurses. We settled on a place we never considered living: Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a wonderful experience, living and teaching in the desert, but in 2020 we decided to bring our growing family back to the East Coast and specifically Cape Cod.

In Las Vegas, I taught fourth and fifth grade for 7 years and this is my 3rd year here at BUES.

At home I have a wonderful and wild 3 year old son, Ben. He and his puppy brothers, Archie and Jasper, love to play around the house and at the beach.

Along with teaching, I have written two children's books:

Chocrotes and the World Without Question and Under the Elvish Moons.
