We unite parents, stakeholders, and community members in a shared vision to elevate the Barnstable Public School performing arts program. We aim to provide every student with access to transformative music education through dedicated volunteerism, generous donations, mentorship, strategic fundraising, advocacy, and collaborative problem-solving. Our mission is to inspire a passion for music, foster creativity, and empower future generations of musicians, cultivating a legacy of artistic expression and community connection.
Opportunities Include:
Fundraising Activities: Participate in or lead fundraising initiatives, including organizing events, managing donations, and seeking sponsorships to support the music program.
Event Coordination: Help plan and execute concerts, recitals, and other performances, including logistics, marketing, and ticket sales.
Community Engagement: Foster relationships with local businesses and community organizations to build partnerships that benefit the music program and enhance visibility.
Equipment and Resource Management: Assist in the care and maintenance of musical instruments and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order for student use.
Advocacy Efforts: Support the promotion of the music program within the school and community, advocating for its importance and helping to raise awareness about its needs.
Communication Support: Help disseminate information through newsletters, social media, or community bulletins to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Chaperoning: Volunteer to supervise students during off-campus events, such as concerts, competitions, and workshops, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Feedback and Input: Participate in discussions and meetings to provide insights and suggestions for enhancing the music program and addressing any challenges that arise.
