Provide athletes with a well-organized and detailed speed and strength program to ensure safe and effective development of athletes through science based periodization and training to enhance the athlete’s abilities in practice and games. Team sports are power based activity that thrive on the ability repeat maximum outputs with low or no outputs in between.
The goal of strength training is to increase the confidence of all athletes through improved movement quality, strength, and balance. The physiological goals are to increase the amount of tension a muscle can withstand through the stretch portion and increase the amount of force output during the shortening portion of the stretch shortening cycle.
Develop proper mechanics, through posture, arm action, knee drive, foot positioning, and striking the ground underneath the hips. Developing the proper energy systems to improve recovery and increase performance.
The Bronco Strength and Conditioning Program ensures that athletes are provided a successful experience in physical development as well as bridging the gap between season with appropriate development for performance.
