TYLA has a steadfast commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession, to further the Bar’s purposes of improving the quality of legal services and regulating the legal profession. To that end, TYLA’s objectives and goals for diversity are: 
  •  to help and encourage persons with diverse experiences and backgrounds to enter the legal profession;
  • to promote increased participation by diverse lawyers in the activities, programs, and projects of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Texas; and
  • to encourage all members of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Texas to acknowledge the importance of diversity, to promote greater inclusion of diverse members of the profession, and to facilitate greater access to programs, services, and employment opportunities for diverse members of the profession.

TYLA intends to award three scholarships, first place $5,000, second place $3,000, and third place $1,500 to one or more law students from the ABA-accredited law schools or ABA-provisionally approved law schools in Texas. The recipient must be attending one of these Texas law schools.

The MidTex Farm & Ranch Show is awarding two $1,250 scholarships to outstanding FFA, FCCLA, Family and Consumer Sciences, and 4-H members in McLennan County. The scholarships will be presented at the Exhibitors Luncheon at the MidTex Farm & Ranch Show on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at The BASE at the Extraco Events Center.

The program is open to all senior class students enrolled in accredited public or private  secondary schools in good standing with their state boards of education. The 2023 Scholarship Program of the Central Texas Branch of the American Public Works Association is designed to help those individuals who are pursuing a career in the field of Public Works. It is also intended for the career enhancement of individuals who are already employed in the Public Works field through continuing education. The Chapter believes that the field of Public Works includes the disciplines of construction inspection, construction management, civil engineering, and public administration. The Chapter wants to promote and ensure the continuation of the high level of skill, talent, and professionalism that is the pride of every member. Traditionally, the American Public Works Association and its Chapters have striven for the advancement and continued development of all the various components that make up the Public Works family. It is incumbent upon the membership of the Central Texas Branch to lend a helping hand to those who have chosen the public services field as their career. The Fort Hood Military Family Member Scholarship Fund is an independent organization developed for the purpose of providing scholarships for deserving, eligible U.S. military family members. A special selection committee will score applications based on the student’s academic record, school and community activities, essay, and recommendations. Financial need is not considered.All properly submitted applications are reviewed and evaluated by the Selection Committee in accordance with the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws. All materials submitted remain confidential.

Established in 1968, the Maude and Alexander Hadden Scholarship is awarded to exceptionally worthy high school seniors with demonstrated financial need, for up to four years of college undergraduate study. Hadden Scholars must be U.S. citizens matriculating at a four-year accredited college or university established in the United States.In awarding Hadden Scholarships, Youth Foundation considers scholastic achievement, character, leadership, volunteerism, and financial need. There is a minimum unweighted grade point average requirement, 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, to apply for a Hadden Scholarship. There is no minimum test score requirement, but past winners have had competitive scores.

The BCAGT has two scholarship opportunities available for graduating Seniors.
#1 - The local Bell County Area Go Texan Scholarship.  BCAGT is excited to announce that our committee will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a recipient from each public high school in Bell County from the 2023 graduating class. This scholarship can be utilized at any college, university, trade/certificate school.
#2 - The Houston Area Go Texan Scholarship - \This scholarship is a $20,000 scholarship (over 4 years) and there will be a minimum of 1 recipient awarded.  However the more qualified applicants we have, the more scholarships that will be awarded within Bell County.  In 2022 there was only 30 applicants, therefore the odd of receiving this scholarship are GREAT!

The ACS Scholars Program awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students majoring in undergraduate chemistry-related disciplines, and are also intending to pursue careers in chemistry-related fields. Selected recipients are awarded up to $5,000 per academic year. To date, over 3,000 students have received a funding from the ACS Scholars Program.

Bell County Young Lawyers Association (BCYLA) is offering a scholarship opportunity in conjunction with the State Bar of Texas. BCYLA will be awarding up to a $1,500.00 scholarship for the best editorial submitted for the Judge Oliver Kelley Scholarship. The local scholarship may be awarded in full or divided between entries, to be determined solely by the BCYLA board. Additionally, BCYLA will submit the top editorial from one Bell County student to the statewide competition conducted by the State Bar of Texas.

The Quell Foundation strives to reduce the number of suicides, overdoses, and the incarceration of people with mental health illness. We work to accomplish this by encouraging people to share their stories, increasing access to mental health services, providing a pipeline of future mental health care professionals with scholarships, and training first responders to recognize mental health crisis warning signs amongst their own.
There’s a severe stigma associated with mental health illness that prevents those closest to us from getting the help they need. By promoting open, judgment-free dialogue, together we can shatter the stigma and normalize the conversation around mental health.
The Quell Fighter Scholarship is awarded to a select high school senior or a current undergraduate/graduate student that is being treated for a diagnosed mental health condition. The award was established by The Quell Foundation'sAwareness Fund as a means to create a paradigm shift in the care and treatment of people with mental health illness. This important recognition is accompanied with: A one-year distribution of a $7,500 - $10,000 scholarship. Opportunity to participate in the foundation’s awareness events/activities.

Nubia Temple 191 knows how important obtaining an education is. In addition, they understand the costs that go along with pursing post-secondary studies.  They seek to provide financial assistance to those in need.  This is a scholarship essay contest which involves writing an essay describing why attending college is important to the applicant.

A one-thousand dollar ($1000) non-renewing scholarship shall be awarded annually to a Bell County high school graduating senior entering college and committed to a future in an educational setting. Students must submit a completed and signed application, a current high school transcript; and a written narrative of not more than 500 words addressing one of the following topics:
a. What teacher/event(s) led you to choose a future in an    educational setting?b. Describe what attributes/accomplishments in your life    illustrate your aptitude and/or interest in education.c. What aspects within your district influenced your   decision to enter your profession?

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and The Sallie Mae Fund are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending an accredited post-secondary institution.The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and The Sallie Mae Fund are proud to offer financial assistance to twenty five (25) current outstanding high school seniors who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or continuous education program. The Epsilon Theta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa Sororitycongratulates you on your upcoming graduation. We are an honorary sorority made up of female educators. This year we are awarding one $1000 Scholarship to one graduating Senior pursuing a college degree in Education from Belton ISD.
Applicants must complete the attached application and submit it with two letters of recommendations. An official transcript will need to be enclosed  and the application also requests an essay of at least 500 words.  Submit all the items requested must be submitted by the deadline.

Each scholarship is awarded based on student application. By using the application provided, our process allows graduating seniors to complete one document and be matched with as many opportunities as possible.

Phi Beta Sigma was founded at Howard University in Washington DC on Jan. 9th, 1914, by three young African American male students. The founders  were A. Langston Taylor, Leonard F. Morse, and Charles I. Brown.  They wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would exemplify the ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.   The Theta Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. will provide scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic school year to deserving high school graduating seniors who demonstrate academic and community service excellence.

The purpose of the Bell County Democratic Women Scholarship is to empower women by providing educational scholarships to enable them become economically independent and to have choices regarding their futures.Eligibility Requirements:
  • GPA must be 2.75 or higher (C+ / 78) or better.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and a Bell County resident.
  • The applicant must be a graduating high school student, current college student or reentering college.

For more than twenty-five years, the Central Texas Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (CenTex MOAA) has awarded competitive scholarships to graduating seniors from local schoolsas well as local private schools who enroll in a college ROTC program. Recipients must enroll in college ROTC for the next fall semester. Funds will not be disbursed until the CenTex MOAA Scholarship Chairman receives confirmation that the selectee has, in fact, enrolled in a college ROTC program. This year we will be awarding THREE scholarships. Two scholarships for $2,000.00 each and one for $1,500.00. These are competitive scholarships. Recipients will be selected by a panel of CenTex MOAA members. Students appointed to a service academy are not eligible for this scholarship, but those receiving service ROTC scholarships MAY (and are encouraged to) apply.

Our Mission is to “Preserve the legacy of West Belton-T.B. Harris School in the lives of g raduating seniors by aiding and empowering them to reach their fullest potential intellectually, socially, and economically through a scholarship program”.  West Belton-T.B. Harris School Scholarship Fund was established to assist minority graduating High School Seniors with their post-secondary school education expenses. It awards scholarships to outstanding students in the spring/summer for use during the following academic year. Up to three scholarships may be awarded each year.

This scholarship recognizes current high school seniors who have shown potential for future success. Once chosen, a $1200 scholarship will be  presented to two senior scholars that meet the required qualifications. Selection as an SDK Foundation scholarship recipient will grant fund disbursement for the 2023-2024 Academic school year. This scholarship is competitive and is only offered to students in the  TEXAS and INDIANA.

The Governor Samuel Mathews Chapter Colonial Dames XVII Century Scholarship application is open for all students who are planning on attending one of the following institutions: Central Texas College, Texas A & M Central Texas, Temple College, of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Masonry has long prized education. Our Founding Fathers knew that this experiment in Democracy could only survive with a well-educated populace, and so when Texas gained its independence, the Masons would frequently stress the need for education. The Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas continues that tradition to this day by offering scholarships for the children of Texas to attend accredited colleges, universities, or approved trade schools. Each scholarship this year will be in the amount of $2500 deposited into the student’s account at their college. Proof of registration for classes will be required before funds are deposited. These funds may be used for tuition and fees until the entire $2500 is depleted, for no more than four years. I

The Grande Cares Employee Memorial Scholarship (GEMS), is something very dear to our hearts; in 2002 the Grande Cares Club decided to honor employees who have passed on by awarding driven students with a scholarship.   The scholarship is also personal for the fact that funds raised are directly from the employees.

The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Central Texas Chapter is making available an excellent scholarship opportunity for your students.  Scholarships range from $1,000 to $5000 and will be awarded in June of this year.
In addition, Central Texas College, Temple College, and Texas  A&M University – Central Texas are making dedicated scholarships available ranging from $1,000 to $2,500. The scholarship window to apply is open from now until May 1st.  To be eligible, AUSA membership is required by the family member or student but basic membership is free.

Since its inception in 1990, the McLennan Community College Foundation has awarded more than 6,500 student scholarships totaling over $6.4 million. We are proud that many of the students assisted by the Foundation remain in McLennan County to become leaders in the community in which they were educated. The Belton Lions Club will present a $1000 scholarship to a graduating student from Belton High School who plans to pursue a baccalaureate degree. The recipient will receive the scholarship check at the Belton Lions Club weekly meeting on a date TBD.
 Scholarship Requirement: Applicants will be evaluated primarily upon, but not limited to, the following criteria by the Lions Club Scholarship Committee. Excellence in character and moral judgment,  Academic standing in the top 50 percent of class, Participation in campus activities, Community and or church involvement., and Honors and Awards. If the student should desire to attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, the university may match this scholarship, in conjunction with the student’s overall financial aid package.

The Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF) is a non-profit organization that solicits and disburses scholarships to deserving UIL Academic participants.  Candidates must have competed at the UIL Academic, Congressional Debate, Cross Examination Debate, One-Act Play, or Theatrical Design State Meet during any year of their high school career or must be a finalist in the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition, the Latino History Essay Competition, or the UIL Young Filmmakers Festival or must have been a member of one of the top 10 teams per competition group at the Best or First state robotics contest.  Applicants must be planning on attending an accredited College or University in the State of Texas.
