Jim Dillon is Professor of Psychology at the University of West Georgia, where he has taught since 1998. He has a BA in Psychology from College of the Holy Cross and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Clark University in Worcester, MA. His background is in human development, education, religion, and philosophy. He does research on topics involving innovative pedagogy, symbolism, spiritual growth, marriage, parenting, child and adult development. He is also a certified public elementary school teacher. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children. He is the author of many books and papers. His latest work, The Joy of Duty: Human Happiness and Ethical Obligation, has been released by Ethics International Press in November, 2022.
