WCHS FAQ
When is the first day of school for my WCHS Student?
On all days of school, the first class begins at 7:45 AM. Students should be dropped off by 7:40 AM at the latest.Â
August 15, 2024 - First day for 9th grade only.  📸 This is also picture day for ALL 9th graders.Â
August 16, 2024 - First day for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders only. (9th-graders will NOT have school.) 📸 This is also picture day for grades 10-12.Â
If your student is attending Live or Scarlet Oaks, their first day is August 14, 2024. Â
The Scarlet Oaks bus leaves WCHS at 6:25 AM. The Live Oaks bus leaves WCHS at 7:00 AM.Â
What time does the building open and close for students?
The doors are open for students at 6:45 AM. Students are welcome to stay in the cafeteria after school until 4:00 PM. There are options outside of those hours as well for before and after school with a student membership to the Mercy Healthplex. You can call 513-943-5050 for details.Â
When will I have access to a schedule for my student?
WCHS is hosting a Welcome to the PACK night on August 14, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:30 PM. Parents and students can choose to come during any time period, but at the top of every hour, we are asking parents to attend a quick 15-minute session with Principal Greg Pottebaum in the Auditorium to go over some very important information for the 2024-2025 school year. You can attend any session, which will be held at 5:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM in the auditorium. Schedules pick-up on will be on Main Street. Students can meet their teachers and visit classrooms as well.Â
Do students at WCHS use lockers?
Students do not typically use lockers at WCHS. The feedback is that it's inconvenient with 3 floors and a 5-minute class switch. School supplies fit comfortably in a backpack. Band students can keep their materials in the band room lockers and athletic coaches will also work with student-athletes for equipment.Â
If your student feels that they absolutely need a locker, they can contact Mrs. Robbins at robbins_h@my.westcler.org.Â
Where is a school supply list for a WCHS Student?
Students have a wide range of classes at WCHS and supply lists are given by the individual teachers during the first week of school. For the first week, students should come with a notebook, pencils, and a fully charged Chromebook.Â
What if I'm struggling to supplies for my student or need additional resources?
Please contact Hope Gill, resource coordinator at WCHS. We have many different resources to help West Clermont Students. Her email is gill_h@my.westcler.org and her direct line is 513-947-7780. Â

My student wants to drive to school. How do we get a parking pass?
For students who have received their driver's license and plan to park in the student lots, the parking pass fee is $40. You can find the paper application/instructions online here or pick up a copy in the main office or Student Services. It is recommended that you turn this in at lunch or get in touch with Mrs. Robinson or Mr. Fangman. Work permits are also available in the main office.Â
What is the daily schedule like at WCHS?
At WCHS, we will use the same block schedule that we did last year. The class and period times are listed on this daily schedule.
Days will be broken down into Navy, Gray, and Wolf Days. A copy of that schedule is here.Â
How do I order school pictures?
Fall pictures are the only school pictures offered at WCHS for grades 9-12. They are done on the first day of school. All students must have their photo taken.Â
Senior portraits for the yearbook are done through Prestige Photography, however, in order to receive a student ID, they are also photographed at school on the first day with Lifetouch.
There are no spring photo sessions at WCHS. All students must be photographed for the yearbook and for their student ID in the fall. If students do not attend the first day off school for photos, there will be a retake day in October. You can order online at lifetouch.com with the school code of EVTFHPM3M
How do I find out about school announcements or information during the year?
Every week on Friday afternoon, Principal Greg Pottebaum will send out the weekly 'Wolfpack Highlights' to all parents. This will include all information that parents may need to know about upcoming events or information.Â
Daily announcements are posted for students on Schoology. Parents can opt in or out on receiving these email post updates in the settings section of their Schoology account. This is where clubs, sports, activities, and daily information for students will be posted.Â
For field trips or important information specific to your student, you may receive a Remind Text from WCHS. Â
How does pick up and drop off work?
We are implementing changes to the morning drop-off schedule to expedite the process and encourage students to arrive to school on time. Â
Students should be dropped off before 7:40 AM. The closer to 7:30 AM, the better, to avoid the last-minute rush of cars. Â
We will have a coordinated drop-off in front of the school on the red and blue routes below from 7:25 -7:45 AM. Staff will direct traffic around the circle and will tell you when students should exit the vehicles on the red and blue routes only. Please watch for staff direction during this time.Â
The fastest route is to bypass Bach-Buxton completely and go up to McMann and turn left into the stadium loop for drop-off off, which is indicated by the green route below.Â
The Senior lot will ONLY be accessible with the Green or Red routes below.  Â
There are no changes to the green or pink routes listed below from previous years. Please DO NOT enter the staff and bus parking lot for any reason.Â
