Dear Clough Families,
It's hard to believe this is the last update for this school year. We have a busy week. Field day for the kids is Wednesday. The PTO is providing pizza and Sonic has donated ice cream.
Monday evening is kindergarten graduation for students in Mrs. Mattingly and Miss Wang. Tuesday evening is kindergarten graduation for students in Mrs. McEnaney and Miss Dahm. Fifth grade recognition will take place Wednesday evening.
On our last day (Thursday) of school, we will have our fifth grade walk. We will do this like we did the senior walk. Parents will line up on the sidewalk in front of the building to greet the students after they have walked the hallways. We will get a group picture and that will conclude our walk.
I want to thank everyone for helping make this a successful and exciting year.
The entire staff looks forward to seeing the kiddos Monday morning.

Our district is implementing a whole-district transformational process called Leader in Me, which teaches 21st-century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader. Parent input is needed. Please complete the following survey to help us learn more about areas of strength and needed growth in our school (Leader in Me Measurable Results Assessment -Survey).
Please complete the survey using the link below. The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The survey takes about 10-12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school building, think about the oldest child's experiences as you answer questions.

Parents of children who take medication at school will need to pick up any medication by 2:00 PM on May 23rd.
Through our town halls, surveys, and community engagement, we’ve learned that it’s critical that we provide more information to you about West Clermont finances. That’s why we have launched a nine part video series that will provide the community with a better understanding of how West Clermont is funded, what we spend money on, and how we have worked hard to provide transparency, accountability, and fiscal excellence.

Clermont County Suicide Prevention Summit | May 31, 2024
The Clermont County Suicide Prevention Coalition is hosting a free Suicide Prevention Summit. This is an all-day training where we will provide opportunities for leaders, community, and professionals to learn about mental health, prevention, and best practices. Clough Pike has a "Blessing Box" on campus where we encourage those in need to take non-perishable food and/or personal hygiene products. We are almost out of food, and our shack depends on donations. Please consider donating non-perishable foods and/or personal hygiene products so we can support our neighbors and community. All items can be given to homeroom teachers. Thank you!

If your child is a car rider to school in the morning, and you want them to eat breakfast here at school, please try to be early in the car line so they have time to eat. We try to close the cafeteria at 8:35 so the kids don't miss any class time.
If you would like to purchase the optional insurance for your child’s Chromebook, click here. Kindergarten students do not take Chromebooks back and forth from school to home, which is where most damages to the device occur.

Under the District box, as you begin to type West Clermont, the drop-down box will allow you to choose our district.
Type in your household address, daytime phone number and email address.
Choose the assistance program if applicable (Example- SNAP). It will ask for your SNAP number if you have chosen that program. You can obtain this number by calling your Case Work at the Clermont County Job and Family Services number.
Add each student enrolled in the West Clermont District. You will need their Student Identification Number. If you do not know the student’s ID number, you will need to contact your student’s school to obtain the number.
Choose your students' race and ethnicity.
Place the last four digits of your Social Security number in the boxes provided.
Sign the application by typing your full name and then hit Submit. The applicant will receive email confirmation upon receipt of the application.
The application is reviewed within 10 days and the applicant will be notified by email or by letter via US Mail.

Bus Routes
Updated routes are expected to be posted by August 16 on the "Bus Route E-Link" system. However, we recommend you continue to check this site up until the first day of school to note any potential changes made to your child’s route. To access the E-Link system:
Visit the Transportation section of the WolfPack Hub, scroll to Transportation Links and Forms, and then click on Bus Route E Link
Username: Student ID
Password: Child’s birthdate (8 digits. For example: 08012018)
Changes in Pick-up/Drop-off Locations:
Transportation routes are based on the student’s home address. Therefore, any variations (such as picking up or dropping off at a babysitter's address or daycare) will require the parent to submit a Transportation Request Form.
Petermann Bus Tracker App:
Petermann Bus Tracker is an application (app) developed to help improve communication with families. This app will securely allow parents/guardians to view the location of their child(ren)’s bus in relation to their assigned bus stop as well as provide information about their routes, in near real-time, including the scheduled arrival time of each stop.
PaySchools
Families have the option to pay their child's school fees and add money to their meal accounts using PaySchools.

We're excited to introduce you to our School's Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and invite you to become an active part of this dynamic community.
The PTO plays a vital role in enhancing our students' educational experience by organizing events, fundraisers, and initiatives that directly benefit our school. From creating memorable school-wide activities to providing valuable resources, the PTO is a driving force behind the positive changes we aim to bring to our school environment.
We encourage you to join the PTO where you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow parents, teachers, and staff, while contributing your ideas and skills to make our school an even better place for our children to learn and grow.
Each week, students who demonstrate our core behavior values of being respectful, responsible, and safe earn "Cougar Pride" tickets. These tickets can then be put into a bin for a chance to win donated prizes from our community partners. Each week we pull names from the bin to spin the "Wheel of Fun-der" to win one of our current prizes.
