My Grade 12 Checklist
I have checked my Credit Counselling Summary (available in Student Services) to make sure I have enough credits to earn my high school diploma by the end of June.
I have submitted my record of 40 community service hours and this is reflected on my Credit Counselling Summary.
I have passed the Grade 10 Literacy Test (OSSLT), or I have taken the Literacy Course (OLC4O), and this is reflected on my Credit Counselling Summary.
I have confirmed that any night school, summer school, e-learning or independent courses are included on my Credit Counselling Summary.
I have either satisfied the 2 online learning credits requirement OR I have opted out of the requirement
I have the correct number of courses and the correct level (“U”, “M”, “C”) in order to apply to my programs of choice.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Attention all Gr. 12 students whose first language is not English or who are new to BR!
You need to provide an English language test score if your four most recent years of full-time education have NOT been in an English-language school system and your first language is NOT English.
The requirements are separate from, and in addition to, the required Ontario 4U English course (or equivalent) if it is listed as a specific requirement for a program. A 4U English is required for most programs.
You may be exempt from submitting English language test scores if you meet one or more of the following exceptions.
You’ve studied in Canada
You’re a Francophone Canadian
You’ve studied in an English Language School
You will need to speak to the school you are applying to see if you meet the exemption criteria.

School to Career Information
Students interested in pursuing one of the School to Career programs offered through the Halton school boards¸(such as our Specialist High Skills Major Programs and OYAP) are encouraged to visit the Bishop Reding Pathways Site and the Halton Pathways Site and follow up with a counsellor.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
All graduating students are expected to complete 40 hours of community service. For information about how to complete and submit community service hours, CLICK HERE.
Ontario Scholars
Ontario Scholars must have a minimum 80% average in their top six (6) Grade 12 courses (any level). You must have at least six Gr 12 level courses to be eligible. Students taking Co-op in Gr 12 should speak to their guidance counsellor to determine if they are eligible.
