The initial phase of the experiment involves constructing a LED blinking circuit employing a Voltage to Current converter utilizing an Operational Amplifier. Concurrently, a secondary LED is integrated into the setup, serving as a probe for measuring voltages via using a multimeter. However, the initial procedure of the experiment only showed minimal changes in the currents between different wavelengths.
1 transmitter LED (5 mm Red, Yellow, Green, Blue)
4 receiver LED (1206 CLEAR RED SMD LED)
1 Operational Amplifier (LTC-1050)
5 resistors (1MΩ)
3 Capacitors (10pF)
Assortment of Jumper Wires
Bread Board
3V coin cell battery
5V power supply
Using the materials above, construct the circuit as drawn above.
Connect the resistors and capacitors with the LEDs using the correct sides.
Then, connect the battery and power supply to allow the power to go to the LEDs.
Grab the jumper wires and connect them to the power supply and the multimeter to supply power to the LEDs.
Next, connect the operational amplifier to the SMD LEDs to amplify the weak signals by increasing their magnitudes.
