This site is for Sheffield Hallam University students who are about to go out into practice on paid placements or to volunteer on the NHS frontline, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is a collection of resources and links that will help you when managing, caring for and supporting patients and their families with COVID-19. There are also a range of resources and activities for you to complete to help you look after your own wellbeing.
The resources in this site aim to complement the preparatory session that you are invited to attend prior to entering the NHS workforce as a student employee or volunteer.
Each page will be structured to identify what will be covered and what we hope you will learn from the resources and activities.
There will be resources for you to access before the in-class teaching / online web-tutorials as well as a range of links and resources for you to revisit and utilise whilst working in practice.
Please ensure you engage with the pre-sessional material on each of the pages before attending the preparatory session.
Use the navigation pane on the left to access each of the pages.
The work you are about to undertake is appreciated by patients, families and your fellow NHS Colleagues. Below are a series of messages to you from our practice partners welcoming you to the NHS frontline.
