Episodes of care are holistic assessments which enable you to demonstrate your progression across a number of platforms. Effective communication and relationship management skills underpin all aspects of care. This assessment must be completed by the practice assessor.
Along with your practice supervisor / practice assessor you will identify an appropriate episode of direct care to meet the required learning outcomes.
You will carry out 2 separate episodes of care. The first will be formative (ongoing feedback will be given to support your development), the second is summative (you will be formally assessed - You need to pass this).
Following the episode of care you will reflect upon the experience. The practice assessor will document if you met the relevant proficiencies.
