At Sheffield Hallam, we recognise that the best learning environment is one where students’ perspectives are valued and taken into account. SCITT Course Reps play a crucial role in achieving this. They are a vital link between students, the Course Team and Leader, and wider representation structures. To ensure that every student has the opportunity to have a meaningful say on their education, we want to make sure that there are Course Reps on every SCITT course (ideally two).

In previous years, SCITT students have contributed to the revalidation of our SCITT modules and programme. Suggestions to include more webinars has been taken up and integrated into the course, as well as using systems like Teams and Zoom as well as phone calls for communication. Previous SCITT students have spoken at graduation ceremonies, giving inspirational talks about their experiences as SCITT students.

We are keen for all students (not just reps) to engage with our Padlet and discussion which you can access through the Discussions tab on BlackBoard or using the Padlet link below. Other ways to feedback are during or after face to face teaching sessions at your SCITT, through your SCITT Course Leader and via the Module Evaluation forms which are sent at the end of each module.
