SDA’s Japanese National Honors Society strives to spread Japanese culture throughout our community, promoting diversity and cross-cultural understanding along the way. Whether it be through teaching Japanese culture lessons at elementary schools, helping the environment through beach cleanups, or throwing Japanese movie nights for everyone to enjoy, we demonstrate our passion for Japanese and helping others.
JNHS meetings are every monday at lunch in the Japanese room (124) unless said otherwise.
Anyone is free to attend our weekly meetings and sign up to volunteer at events, but you must have taken or be taking Japanese to become an official member. On top of this, your overall GPA must be above a 3.0 and your Japanese class GPA must be above a 3.5.
JNHS is a very fulfilling experience for anyone who loves Japanese culture. JNHS Alumni go on to attend the nation’s top colleges (UCs, Ivy League) and show everyone to how amazing Japanese culture is.
