About Me

Background

I am Rykir Evans, and I am a in my third year (2025-2026) at Midwestern State University majoring in Computer Science. I graduated from Gold-Burg ISD, which is a tiny 1A school just north of Bowie, TX. I love most things technology (Except printers) and I have focused much of my recent life around it, going so far as to start my own computer services business during my Junior year of high-school. While no longer operating at it's height, the business administration was a fun and unique experience which I value to this day.

Aside from technology, I somewhat ironically enjoy the outdoors. Light excursions to local wooded areas has always been a fun adventure, especially during the colder months. I also quite enjoy sharing stories that others find interesting as I feel the small-town life has given me plenty of unique happenings to share with others that may find them amusing. 

As I crossed the halfway point in my undergraduate degree, I realized I should update this section, and what I have to say is much the same. I am still an enjoyer of technology, proceeding with my Computer Science degree but also picking up a Mathematics double major. I have made many friends, and had many experiences up to this point, and the halfway mark resembles a milestone, but one that is hardly representative of all of the things I have had the opportunity to be involved in during college. As my educational career progresses, I have become evermore fond of learning, and I am excited to continue my journey.

Aspirations

Since around 8th grade, I have realized my ultimate career goal: being a NASA astronaut. If asked why, I really couldn't give you an answer, my thought process on the matter was more of a "Why not?" question. Though, I have been extremely fascinated with outer space since a very young age, so I figure that plays an extensive role in it as well. This fascination goes hand in hand with my aforementioned enjoyment for technology, and this is the main route I plan to take to the stars. In a perfect world, my dream is to keep growing my computer services business while also focusing on being an astronaut.

To conclude, I'd like to share a fun fact about myself: I am a hobby investor in the stock market, and admire being financially literate.
