About

History

We were founded in 2013 by Brandon Schmidt, with Russell Shitabata serving as Faculty Advisor. Back in 2013, being a fan of anime or manga was still not a popular thing. The club served as a place for people who enjoyed anime and manga to get together and meet others who they could talk with about all things anime and manga related. One of the long term goals of the club was attending a convention, which we achieved in 2018 with Eucon. This was the beginning of one of our most active periods in the club history.

Though in 2019, the club had to temporarily close due to the pandemic. after attempting to make it an online entity to continue club activities. Unfortunately, this was unsuccessful.

In late 2022, the club was brought back by one of our former presidents, and because of it we can still be a place for all those who love and watch anime. Throughout our history we've had five presidents and have remained one of the longest tenured student clubs. Throughout all of this we still have high hopes for what’s to come from the future and will still spread our love of anime to those who want to participate with us. So, will you?
