About the Project: Global Sanctuary

This website, Global Sanctuary: Mapping Sacred Cartography, is an academic multimedia project created by students from JRU Senior High School (SHS). Our core mission is to foster religious unity, respect, and compassion by initiating a deep-dive exploration into the diverse tapestry of global beliefs. By concentrating on six uncommon doctrines—three from the Philippines and three from the global sphere—we aim to challenge conventional perspectives and demonstrate that understanding and appreciating religious difference is the crucial first step toward building a more cohesive Filipino and global community.

A comprehensive project is presented in three core components that fulfill our academic objective. First is Sacred Cartography, which features our in-depth Google Slides research on the history, core beliefs, and symbols of the six lesser-known religions. Second is The Unifying Thread, an original Interfaith Prayer crafted by the team to promote universal values like peace and cooperation. Finally, Voices of Unity is a video interview segment featuring JRU SHS students discussing the real-world challenges and solutions for promoting genuine respect and understanding among diverse faiths in the Philippines and around the world.
