YouTube was founded by three former PayPal workers: Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim. The image shows them in that order. The latter two went to college at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign together while studying computer science, a major not followed by Hurley, who studied graphic design instead. All three met at PayPal and wanted to bring the ability to share videos online to those who didn't know much about technology.
