The Ram 1500 TRX has a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine, also known as the Hellcat engine, that produces 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The TRX has a number of features that help it perform well, including:
Cast-iron block: A sturdy block that can withstand firing pressures of 1,595 psi, which is the equivalent of 20,000 pounds of force
Forged-steel crankshaft: Engineered to work with the cast-iron block
Induction-hardened bearings: Help the engine withstand firing pressures
High-performance air induction system: Filters out dirt and debris four times better than its closest competitor, and can consume up to 32.9 liters of air per minute
Launch control: Regulates engine RPM and monitors wheel slip feedback
The TRX can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 118 mph. It also has a towing capacity of up to 8,100 pounds.
