3.8-litre air-cooled flat engine achieved 221 kW (300 hp) without turbocharging. Two turbochargers boosted performance to 331 kW (450 hp).
They weigh around 8.5 kilograms, or 20%, less than the standard light-alloy wheels, and are 20% stronger at the same time. By reducing the unsprung masses, the tires follow the road surface better and transmit longitudinal and lateral forces optimally.
