Kawasaki, beyond motorcycles, is a massive industrial conglomerate with a rich history. Founded in 1878, it's known for its diverse range of products including ships, aircraft, trains, and industrial robots. Their first motorcycle, the Meguro, was a near copy of a British BSA. The company also pioneered the first domestically manufactured industrial robot in Japan in 1969. Furthermore, Kawasaki is the first foreign motorcycle company to establish operations in the U.S., with its initial headquarters in a meat warehouse in Chicago.  

A fun fact about Kawasaki is that their iconic lime green color, often associated with their motorcycles, was initially adopted because they believed in engineering over superstition, rather than because of a specific tradition or meaning . They chose the color despite it being considered bad luck in motorcycle racing at the time.
