Frank Ocean is a singer-song writer born in Long Beach, California, on October 28, 1987. Like him, his father was a singer and a keyboardist and his mom was a contactor. He then moved at age 5 with his younger brother Ryan after his parents divorce to New Orleans, Louisiana. He said growing up in such a music/jazz oriented area inspired him as an artist. As for schooling he went to the University of New Orleans with the money he saved up from working around his neighborhood and also bought himself studio time. In 2005 Hurricane Katrina took way in his home town so he decided to temporarily move to Los Angeles to continue to record his music. However it was not temporary, after associating himself in the music industry he got songwriting deals with famous artists such as John Legend and Justin Bieber. He then began his career in 2010 and was featured in Tyler the Creators music video "She". Ever since then he has been a music sensation with his albums Biking, Blonde, Channel Orange, and Nostalgia Ultra, but he stopped releasing music after his album Blonde in 2016. He dropped 2 singles in 2020 but it was so far radio silence. It then came out in 2023 his little brother, Ryan he would describe as his best friend passed away in a car crash in 2020 and he fully decided to step down after he went on to Coachella for one last time.
