The Dodgers won World Series championships in 1959, 1963, and 1965 

did you know that the Dodgers got their name because heavy construction of electric trolley tracks in front of Eastern Park caused fans to dodge the trolleys to reach the park. Those fans became known as Trolley Dodgers and the team took on the name, which was shortened to Dodgers. 

The Dodgers franchise began in Brooklyn in 1883, eventually becoming the Brooklyn Dodgers before moving to Los Angeles in 1958
