Our Story: The History of Exotic Kingdom

At Exotic Kingdom, we’ve always believed that the world’s most extraordinary creatures deserve to be celebrated and cared for in a way that reflects their unique beauty. Our journey began over two decades ago when a group of passionate animal lovers and conservationists decided to create a space where people of all ages could experience the magic of interacting with rare and exotic animals from around the globe.

The Beginning

The story of Exotic Kingdom began in 2003, when founder Emma Greenfield, an experienced zoologist with a deep love for wildlife, envisioned a zoo like no other. Frustrated by the lack of hands-on experiences in many traditional zoos, Emma wanted to create a place where guests could engage directly with animals in a safe and educational environment. She dreamed of a sanctuary where the public could learn about the importance of conservation while fostering a deep connection with animals that often go unseen in the wild.

Building the Kingdom

In 2005, after years of careful planning and fundraising, Exotic Kingdom officially opened its doors to the public. We started with a small collection of animals, primarily rescued and rehabilitated species from various parts of the world. Over the years, our zoo grew both in size and scope. Our team worked tirelessly to build spacious, naturalistic enclosures that allowed our animals to thrive while maintaining the safety and comfort of our guests.

Expanding Our Family

By 2010, we had expanded our animal family to include rare species such as lemurs, kangaroos, sloths, and even a pair of endangered tortoises from the Galápagos Islands. Our commitment to conservation deepened, and we began participating in global breeding programs aimed at preserving vulnerable species. It became clear that Exotic Kingdom was not just a zoo, but a sanctuary dedicated to protecting and celebrating wildlife.

A Focus on Education and Conservation

As our zoo continued to grow, so did our educational mission. In 2015, we launched several community outreach programs designed to teach young people about conservation and the importance of protecting endangered species. Our educational staff began hosting school tours, workshops, and interactive exhibits to engage visitors in meaningful ways. We also started offering animal adoption programs, allowing guests to "adopt" an animal at the zoo to support our care efforts.

Looking Ahead

Today, Exotic Kingdom is a thriving, award-winning zoo that attracts thousands of visitors each year. We’ve expanded to include over 100 species from across the world, all carefully cared for in environments that mimic their natural habitats. Our commitment to animal welfare and conservation remains stronger than ever, and we continue to support wildlife protection efforts both locally and internationally.

As we look to the future, we are excited about the next chapter of Exotic Kingdom. With new exhibits, educational programs, and conservation initiatives on the horizon, we are proud to offer a space where the beauty of the animal kingdom can be shared and celebrated by all.
