Pioneer Park is a recreational park in the coldest city in the USA; Fairbanks Alaska. The carousal itself was manufactured by Spillman Engineering in the 1930's before Alaska was even a state! It still stands and is one of the few examples of early 1900's engineering which has prospered into the early 2000's. Unlike many of the carousals built during this time period which were wood, the Pioneer Park carousal was made of metal.
