Competitors: Our competitors in our field of technology include portable chargers, existing TEGs (thermoelectric generator), and renewable energies.
Cost of Current Solutions:
Chart 1: Would you be interested in a lightweight device that can harness clean body heat and charge your devices while working out?
Chart 2: If yes or maybe (regarding previous question), how much would you pay for it?
Our student athletes provided us some data regarding about our product and its price which at least 67% are interested in such a device that would be capable to do the function of charging their electronic devices while doing an activity and the average price they would pay on a clean harness energy product would be around $46.
If we solve the problem, a need/demand for the solution will exist because through our charts and graphs we notice that many people are interested in the product that are only student athletes from the school but if we expand beyond this community, there would be more of a need/demand from the population especially when the energy they are harnessing is free while charging their devices takes electricity and has an impact on their monthly bill. Many athletes and fitness members of the population would buy the product as it would mostly impact them and help them efficiently along with others who may not be using the device to its full potential. They will bother to try it to help themselves in situations that can charge their phone in places/activities where they can't or need to use their device such as biking, working out, and many more.
How will your product be manufactured and distributed? Is this reasonable?
The product would be manufactured by ourselves which we would need to buy all of the items and then make it efficient after the prototype. It would only be distributed if we get somewhere with our project that it hasn't seen before and can actually make a profit and success off of it. This is reasonable as if it attracts attention and it's used at its full potential then many would be interested and would try/use our product for their electronic device(s).
