Best and Most Process

How We Collected Our Best and Most Results

Senior Best and Most were chosen based off of senior class votes. During the first round, categories were emailed out to the entire class of 2019 and posted on social media. These categories were numerous and diverse, so that people from every walk of life and every type could be represented. Individuals wrote in nominations of people they wanted for each category. From these results, yearbook staff counted the number of votes for each person in each category. The top winners were then put into a multiple choice survey for the second round of voting. Some categories generated such clear winners that they were not sent out for a second round. These individuals attained 20 or more votes and were obviously the favorites. Some categories were deleted for space, and also because no people emerged on top.

For the second round, many people showed up multiple times in multiple categories. This is because they were voted for multiple times in multiple categories, enough to put them towards the top and into the second round. Yearbook staff did not exclude people from categories if they were already nominated in another category, because we felt that would be biased. In the final results, one person will only win one category. They will win the category for which they gain the most votes. People from middle college were also included if they were nominated because they are technically still enrolled in Branham and will end up in the yearbook.

After the second round of voting, we chose the top two people from each category to win. Some people gained the top or second spot in multiple categories. We allowed these people to choose which category they wanted to win, and then chose the second winner for the category they gave up from the third place winner.

Yearbook staff was completely unbiased in its collection and counting of nominations.
