When they had finally reached the third month of seeing each other, Icarius had planned a beautiful picnic in the meadow they had once met, where he planned to propose. As they approached, they laid down blankets and the food they had prepared. Because it was such a warm day out, Athena wore a long, flowy, ethereal-looking dress, while Icarius wore pants and an airy t-shirt. As they sat enjoying the beautiful view, Icarus reached past the blanket to pull a long-stemmed poppy from the ground. However, he neglected to notice a bee wrapped up inside the flower. As he brought it to his nose to sniff, he saw the bee come out from the poppy and land right on top of his nose. In a fit of rage and terror at seeing his worst fear come to life, he shrieked at the top of his lungs. Athena could only stare in bewilderment at the sight in front of her.
Seeing him cry out like a little girl. She then felt Athena turning her body away in a full-body cringe. She didn’t know this new feeling; it had turned her once charming prince into an unbearable sight. She could not go the next few minutes with him without finding something else that made her want to run for the hills. Soon after his fit had stopped, he got down on one knee to propose. And as she looked down at him, unable to look past the growing red bulge on his nose, she couldn’t shake the feeling any longer. “I cannot marry you!” As she turned and fled.
