that a small village embedded in mountains is the White Dragon’s birthplace. Before the time of its creation, snow was gentle and melted upon contact with the earth.
“Winter” was not a concept, for intact snow was never seen, crops were never endangered, and the temperature never dropped. All continents on the planet were green and lush.
The White Dragon is born December 5th in the village's temple. Its entry into the world heralds the first ever snow storm. The high-reaching mountains and cavernous valley keep the storm entirely concentrated in this infinitesimally small section of the globe.
The storm razes the village and all its inhabitants for three months, from November to January, killing many and starving more.
