Before the Earth was suitable for habitation, the Gods and Goddesses roamed the land, working to create an environment where different species could thrive. Together, they spread their ideas across the land, embedding themselves in the seasons, trees, rivers, and stars.
Two Goddesses, Selene and Nyx, immediately took charge of the night sky. Together, they crafted a plan to illuminate the Earth after sunset while ensuring everything remained harmonious with the rest of the world. They adorned the sky with a plethora of stars and a large, glowing moon, creating galaxies and planets.
Nyx poured her creativity into spreading darkness and forming galaxies, painting the sky with her shadows. Meanwhile, Selene became enamored with the Moon. She spent months perfecting its various phases, determined to create a unique sky every night.
As time passed, their friendship deepened. They became best friends, inseparable in purpose and spirit, creating planets that symbolized their bond. Their companionship fused the night sky and the Moon forever. Whenever Nyx spread her darkness, Selene followed, casting her silvery glow across the Earth.
Their bond was no ordinary friendship; it was a cosmic force, leaving an eternal imprint on the Earth and becoming an essential part of its essence. Selene became the Goddess of the Moon, and Nyx, the Goddess of the Night. Together, they reigned over the nighttime, hosting extravagant celestial gatherings where gods and goddesses would sip wine and create constellations from the stars. They called it a “Sip and Star.”
